Peculiarities of the organization of admission to graduate school

Entrance tests for postgraduate studies consist of:

  1. Entrance exam for specialization in the form of an interview (within the scope of the Master’s (specialist) higher education program in the relevant specialty (091 Biology, 221 Dentistry, 222 Medicine, 223 Nursing, 228 Pediatrics) – weighting factor 0.5;
  2. Entrance combined exam in a foreign language (English, German or French) in the amount that corresponds to level B2 of the All-European recommendations on language education) – weight factor 0.25. An entrant who has confirmed his level of knowledge, in particular of the English language, with a valid test certificate TOEFL, or IELTS, or the Сambridge English Language Assessment certificate is exempt from taking the entrance exam in a foreign language. When determining the results of the competition, the specified certificates are equated to the results of the foreign language entrance test with the highest score.
  3. Presentations of research achievements in the form of a scientific essay on the chosen specialization – a weighting factor of 0.25. The assessment of the results of the entrance tests is carried out on a scale from 100 to 200 points. For the competitive selection of persons entering graduate school, the competitive score is calculated by adding the points of the entrance exam in the specialization , the foreign language entrance exam and the scores for the presentation of research achievements in the form of an essay, multiplied by the weighting factors. The results of the entrance exams for graduate school are valid for admission to graduate school for one calendar year.
