Foreign citizens – graduates of universities of foreign countries, with the permission of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, can be accepted for training in a clinical residency directly after graduating from a higher educational institution and obtaining the qualification “Doctor” only after nostrification of the diploma in the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The term of training in a clinical residency is from 2 to 4 years.
After presentation of the original documents, consent of the head of the department to be accepted for training in a clinical residency, the decision of the admissions committee allows the candidate to take the entrance exam in the relevant specialty. As a result of successfully passing the exam, based on the decision of the admissions committee, the candidate concludes a study contract with the university. After paying for the education, an order for admission to the university is issued.
A candidate for training must present the following documents:
- Passport;
- Expert opinion on the nostrification of a specialist diploma from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Kyiv;
- Invitation to study;
- Certificate of completion of the preparatory department, legalized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the graduate’s embassy;
- Diploma of a specialist on higher medical education and assignment of the qualification “Doctor”, an appendix to it;
- 6 color photographs measuring 2.5 x 3 cm;
- Medical certificate on the state of health – form 0-86 / U, confirming the possibility of studying in the climate of Ukraine, certified by the official health authority of the country from which the foreigner arrived and issued no later than two months before entry to Ukraine;
- Certificate of absence of HIV infection;
Original documents are presented. If these documents are in English, French, German, Arabic or any other language except Ukrainian or Russian, candidates must attach notarized translations into Ukrainian or Russian. Documents must be certified in accordance with the legislation of the country of their issuance and legalized in accordance with the established procedure, unless otherwise stipulated by international treaties of Ukraine.
